About Us

Whisper and Flame is a gentle pilgrimage toward hope—inviting the weary into refuge and the slow and holy work of gathering what remains.
ABOUT

Whisper and Flame is a ministry of nearness— of honest words, tender faith, and the courage to begin again. It speaks to those who have grown distant from their light, who strain their ears to hear the crackles of the embers within. Through stillness, Scripture and story, it offers a quiet companionship: a reminder that rebuilding is sacred work and that God walks softly beside you as you find your way back to warmth.

CORE VALUES

We Acknowledge- Before healing comes honesty. We tell the truth about where we’ve come from, and where we are— the doubt, the exhaustion, the quiet ache for meaning. We Gather- We are not saved in isolation. Whisper and Flame is an act of gathering— of hearts near and far, each tending the other’s fire. When one grows cold, another lends their light, their warmth.

We Rekindle- Kindling a fire takes time. We do not rush. We start with the smallest sparks, embers, allow them to grow gradually, inevitably. The Spirit restores what was lost, not by force, but by the slow grace of returning, every day.

We Cultivate- Tending oneself is a sacred responsibility. We water the seeds that have been planted by our experiences by remaining present in the quiet work of healing. We cultivate humility, courage, and the steady labor of care, rising, even shakily, with God beside us.

We Yield- There are places only grace can reach. To yield is to make space for this grace to enter. It is neither surrender nor defeat; it is the soft unbinding of control— the moment we allow God to breathe through our weariness and move what we cannot move alone. It is a holy yielding of control that allows healing to happen in us and through us.

We Hope- Hope is not brightness— it is endurance. It is the ember that refuses to go cold. Whisper and Flame tends this hope: not through brute cheerfulness, but through truth-telling, stillness, and the soft return of warmth, imparting the practice of identifying hope all around and within.

We Share- We accept where others are in the same way we acknowledge where we began. We serve them through our loving presence and share with them our journey, inviting them to begin
a journey themselves. Sharing the work is not only connection or accountability, but also lets us learn through the act of teaching one another.
